Saturday, July 29: Arrival to Vancouver & Gastown Food Tour
Arrive to Vancouver at 12pn noon, and meet your transfer at the airport. As a group we'll check into our hotel and get settled before venturing out to walk around the downtown area of Vancouver. In mid-afternoon we'll meet our local guide for our history and food walking tour. This tour is Gastown’s one-and-only designated Canadian Signature Experience! We’ll get an amazing food, a charming local guide, and a historic city tour (one of the Forbes’ Top 9 Food Tours in the World!)
Sunday July 30: Village Market & Granville Island
In the morning you’ll have an option to visit the village market. The market has become a major event, attracting both locals and visitors. Dozens of local farmers sell fresh produce and many local artists, craftspeople and artisans display their work at the Village Market.
Granville Island is one of the most visited attractions in Canada. On our 60min tour, we’ll learn about how it has transformed from “Industrial Island” to become a place where visitors and locals alike gather. The tour ends at the Public Market, so you may choose to spend time there, or choose to see more of the city. In the evening we’ll enjoy a night out in downtown Vancouver.
Monday, July 1: Bowen Island
After breakfast we'll take a quick 20-min ferry ride to Bowen Island. Known as a forested paradise, Bowen Island is an outdoor haven. The island’s waters are perfect for swimming and sea kayaking, with sheltered bays and sandy beaches around every corner. If you’re up for a hike or mountain bike, there are endless trails to explore, from steep hills to relaxing strolls. For those looking to experience the island’s culture, Bowen is full quaint shops, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries just a short stroll from the ferry in Snug Cove. It’s Canada’s fourth-most artistic community per capita, so be sure to check out the work of the talented local artists! The people on Bowen Island are also known for their laid-back living, so you’ll be feeling relaxed in no time.
