Our flight will depart Friday evening from NYC, arriving to Albuquerque in late evening. Upon arrival, we'll transfer to our hotel in Albuquerque.  If you fly on your own, we will meet you at the hotel late Friday.

Saturday morning will be an early day for our bike ride to the Dawn Patrol and Mass Ascension of the International Balloon Fiesta.  The biking trail is a 16mile easy-moderate, some hills (round-trip) and will allow you to explore the grounds on your own. Great photo opts!
Note: There is an option to take the shuttle instead of biking.

Balloon Fiesta—which, with over 600 balloons, is the largest ballooning event on earth, the most photographed event on earth, and the largest annual international event held in the United States!

After we've returned on bike from the morning lift off, we will enjoy Old Town Albuquerque at your leisure before returning in the late afternoon to the evening session of the Balloon Fiesta.  "Night and Glow" of the balloons, followed by evening fireworks!  After the fireworks we will drive to our hotel in Santa Fe.

Hundreds of thousands of smiling, upturned faces, awestruck by the spectacular beauty of hot air balloons filling the big blue New Mexico sky. What you can't hear until you walk the field at nightfall is the thrilling roar of hundreds of burners simultaneously igniting, turning the Park into a huge lighted Christmas tree of colorful balloons.

On Sunday we will enjoy a Taste of Santa Fe.  This is a walking tour through the heart of historic downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico that will be sure to inspire your palate and your mind!  Our guide will take us through one of the most historically rich cities in the US while tasting some of the best food Santa Fe has to offer. After the 2.5hr tour you'll have the rest of the day to enjoy Santa Fe as you please.

Enjoy shopping, art galleries, horseback riding, spa, museums, etc.

Monday after breakfast we will drive to the Kasha Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument (Optional).  Here we'll marvel at these unusual and unique rock formations on a 3mile hike on the Canyon Trail to enjoy the amazing views!  On our return to Santa Fe, you'll have more time to explore the plaza and galleries galore.

Once you arrive at Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks you immediately see how it received its name. Just above the verdant variety of the valley floor, with its ponderosas, pinon-junipers and manzanitas, you observe legions of cone-shaped rock formations among beige, pink, and white-colored cliffs. The name Kasha-Katuwe, meaning “white cliffs”, comes from the traditional Keresan language of the Cochiti Pueblo inhabitants who live nearby.

Tuesday morning after breakfast we'll depart for Bandelier National Monument and take in a short 3mile Falls Hike.  Bandelier National Monument is a wonderful place to see the ruins of many cliff houses and pueblo style dwellings of 13th-century Pueblo Indians. The Monument is a special place to learn about the history of the Jemez Mountain Trail area.

After our time here, we'll drive to Albuquerque on the Turquoise Trail, enjoying the views on the way.  We'll also take time to enjoy exploring route 66!

After an evening meal, we will take a late night flight back to NYC arriving at 5:30am on Wednesday.
