We will embark on our Halloween journey on Friday evening at 5pm and drive directly to our Inn which is located 20min away from Salem. Dinner will be upon arrival at a local restaurant.
In the morning we'll enjoy breakfast before we head to the train station for our 5min ride into Salem. In the afternoon we will go on our Witchcraft and Cemetery Tour. We will get an in-dept look at the tragic events that led to the Witchcraft trails in Salem, in 1692. You'll hear the poignancy of many victims at the Witch Trail Memorial that was dedicated to them in 1992, as we walk past each memorial. You'll hear their last heroic statements before meeting their dark fates on Gallows Hill....and how the crowd was so moved by the final prayer of one victim, that they almost stopped his execution! We'll also visit the Old Burying Point Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries in Massachusetts, the site of the true "Witch Dungeon".
In the evening we will go on another but "REAL" ghost tour-rated #3 on the top 10 ghost tours in America in 2010.
The Vampire and Ghost Tour will be conducted by professionally trained ghost hunting investigator in search of ghosts in Salem! We will visit documented haunted locations that they have personally investigated, successfully capturing ghosts images on film. People have actually fainted on this tour! (and I don't mean from boredom!). We will take a late train back to our Inn.
On Sunday morning after breakfast we will drive to the train station to take us to Salem once more. You are encouraged to wear/bring your costumes, as everyone in Salem will be dressed up! The costumes you will see will be like no other. Today will be an optional day to choose to spend as you wish-with the group or on your own.
