Sunday, February 10: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, & Egyptian Museum
Our morning will start early to beat the crowds at the Giza Pyramids!  The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex.   It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.

Our next stop will be the Great Sphinx of Giza, a giant 4,500-year-old limestone statue near the Great Pyramids of Giza.   One of the world's largest monuments measuring 240 feet long and 66 feet high.  It is also one of the most recognizable relics of the ancient Egyptians.

Our final stop for the day will be the amazing Egyptian Museum in Cairo.  The Egyptian museum is home to 120,000 Egyptian artifacts.  Here we will explore the ancient Egyptians treasures specially the treasures of King Tut-Ank-Amun.  He is the most famous of all the Egyptian pharaohs. King Tutankhamen tomb was still relatively intact when it was initially discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter.  You will have an option to visit the special mummy section of the museum.

They were meant to convey the power of Egypt’s rulers to anyone who laid eyes upon them.
